A Taste of Japan
We have created a formal stage show called "A Taste of Japan" which expands on our usual drum ensemble format, and includes other traditional instruments, songs and dances. The show is a delicious blend of traditional and contemporary works spanning a range of styles from delicate instrumentals to thunderous and exuberant drum pieces.
Features of the show may include:
- Ethereal sounds of the shinobue (bamboo flutes)
- Oriental magic of the koto (zither/harp) and sanshin (Japanese banjo)
- Chimes of the chappa and kane (cymbals and gongs)
- Traditional festival dances
- Traditional folk songs of Japan

A Taste of Japan can be 1.5 - 2hours long and is a full stage show requiring a theatre or playbox with a lighting rig.
