discuss in more detail your requirements for your event, and details regarding venue space and
access, etc.
Please note:
Wai Taiko is a not-for-profit community group, and we normally ask for a donation for
performing. This is to cover performers’ transport costs, the cost of repairs to instruments, the
purchase of new instruments, and other expenses.
We are flexible in terms of performance length, but we prefer that it be at least 15 minutes. We
can also perform more than once at your event. At past events we have performed up to three
times, with each set being 20-30 minutes long.
We have a large number of performers (6-10 people), and our drums are big. This means we do
need a quite large performance space. We can discuss this with you at the time of booking.
